Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs inside your browser on your own device, so your photos never reach a server. The background remover downloads its AI model once on first use and then works from your browser.

Is there a limit, a watermark or a sign-up?

No. FreeSnip is free, has no daily limits, needs no account, and never adds a watermark of its own to your files.

How big can my image be?

Files up to 1 GB are accepted (and up to about 150 megapixels). Images are processed at up to 2400 pixels (background remover) or 3000 pixels (watermark remover) on the longest side, so very large photos are scaled down to keep things fast.

How well does the watermark remover work?

It fills the marked area from the pixels around it, so it works best on text, logos and stamps over plain or textured areas. A big logo over fine detail may leave a soft patch. You can mark it again and repeat.
